Matcha Smoothie Bowl

Matcha ! Are you a fan!? If your a fan or not, it’s safe to say that Matcha has skyrocketed in the last couple of years and there’s no guessing why!

Matcha is packed with health benefits! Did you know that when you drink matcha, you ingest the entire leaf and get 100% of the nutrients. In terms of nutritional content, 1 cup of matcha = 10 cups of regular brewed green tea, amazing right? Not only that, matcha is packed with antioxidants, boosts metabolism and burns calories, detoxifies effectively but naturally, is rich in fibre, chlorophyll and vitamins and so much more!

Here, is a recipe that I have been loving as a breakfast/brunch option, perfect for any day of the week!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Banana
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • 1 Tsp Matcha Powder
  • 1 Tsp Flax seed
  • 100ml Almond Milk (I use unsweetened)
  • A few cubes of Ice.

Blend all ingredients together and serve in your favourite bowl. Add toppings of your choice, I used Raspberries, Flaxseed, Almonds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. Feel free to add some nut butter, either mixed in the smoothie recipe or on top!
